Aaron is a Colorado native and grew up in the Boulder area. As a child, he traveled to Durango in the summer with his family for numerous vacations. In 2002 he moved to Durango and attended Fort Lewis College, his studies covered accounting, business management, and art. Aaron took advantage of the colleges' study abroad program and spent 6 months in France studying business.
Aaron fell in love with the diversity and the lifestyle Durango offered and chose to stay in Durango after college. Aaron has worked in many different industries over his 16 years in Durango, but every job allowed him to interact with the community. He has worked in childcare, been a raft guide, sold kayaks, rented u hauls and landscaped but primarily he has worked in the restaurant industry, managing a local bar. It was through the many years of bartending that Aaron decided to change his career path to real estate.
Aaron has always enjoyed helping people better enjoy their stay in Durango so it only made sense to put that passion to use in helping people realize their dream of homeownership. Aaron loves the outdoors and spends as much of his free time that he can
When I decided to purchase a home in Durango I was living 6 hours away. My visits to Durango were several quick stays and Aaron always had real estate searches organized to match my time constraints. He was extremely prompt interacting with seller's agents, inspectors, and loan experts. His knowledge of new real estate rules for 2019 was helpful right through closing. The purpose of this review is to call attention to Aaron’s stellar performance on our purchase of a piece of property in the Rogue Ranch development. Please know that Aaron went miles beyond what anyone would call reasonable duty in making this sale possible. His performance during this entire affair was truly outstanding. In the best tradition of the US Navy we award him a huge BRAVO ZULU for a job exceedingly well done!
You should know that our purchase of the property in Rogue Ranch required almost superhuman efforts on the part of Aaron. The seller was extremely slow and at times almost completely non-responsive to our efforts to get them to sign the original sales contract and the innumerable amendments to the same.
Each time this happened, Aaron would calmly and efficiently prepare a new amendment…never losing his cool or sense of humor. Furthermore, Aaron had to deal with a surveyor who was equally slow to get his part of the job done.
In short, all of the delays, lack of responsiveness on the part of other players, and unavailability (at times) of some of the people necessary to the process with which/whom Aaron had to contend made this purchase very difficult for him.
No matter how many time we imposed on him to help, he always pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently intervened to \u201Cgot the job done.\u201D
Aaron worked so hard to help us find, secure, and close on our home. Our lender was very difficult to work with and Aaron just kept at it with a positive attitude. Aaron is somewhat new to real estate however knew real estate law and the home buying process better than some old timers. We would recommend Aaron to anyone who is interested in buying or selling their home.

When we first started working with Aaron, we informed him that we just wanted to look in the area and get a better feel. He was most helpful in showing us an array of properties and land. After we found a property we liked he helped negotiate a fair price. We were a little concerned about dealing with all of the deatails regarding inspections, utilities and other closing issues from out of town, but Aaron was right on top of everything and guided us through the process without a hitch. We initially hired Aaron to assist us with a lease-to-own purchase that was quickly deteriorating due to issues with the seller. Aaron was extremely helpful in negotiating with the seller and was essential to getting the sale back on track. Ultimately the sale fell through due to loan objections from the bank. We were about ready to give up on buying a house because the experience had been so bad, but Aaron ensured us that that experience was highly unusual, and encouraged us not to give up.
Aaron immediately set to work finding us homes that met the delicate balance between meeting our needs and desires and fitting within our financial limits. He did an excellent job of finding us potential homes and helped to keep our attitude positive as potential homes flew off the market before we had the chance to fully consider them.
He was friendly, easy to work with, and happy to work with our schedules when showing us homes. He was on top of working with sellers realtors to answer our questions, and patient when our questions required extra footwork on his part.
When we finally found THE house, Aaron worked hard to get us the best deal possible, and I firmly believe that without his help we would not be in the dream home that we are in today.
